One Simple Change can help you Live Longer and Look Younger

One Simple Change can help you Live Longer and Look Younger

A recent study brings good news to the time-constraint people of the world.

The results of a research performed at the Saarland University in Germany, determined that moderate exercise could increase the lifespan and retard the aging process.

The findings of the study, revealed at the European Society of Cardiology congress, showed that only 20 to 25 minutes of brisk walk or slow jogging could add up to 7 years of life. Regular exercising also proved to reduce the risk of dying from a heart attack by 50%.

Just by going around the block during your lunch break, or walking instead of taking the bus, if you’re at a 20-minute distance from your destination, can help you get these and other benefits that will improve your quality of life. Moderate exercising also acts as an anti-depressant, and improved cognitive function. Researchers also found evidence that it can delay the appearance of dementia.

The research also showed that light physical activity brought better results than extremely vigorous exercise or weight lifting. It’s never too late to start, as subjects who started exercising in their 70’s also experienced improvements in their health. However, the younger you start, the more benefits you’ll experience.

By practicing moderate, but regular exercise, avoiding smoking, and eating a healthy diet, people can look younger at 70, and may also live well into their 90’s.

Talk to your doctor about the possibility of starting this easy regime, and enjoy all of these benefits and more, with just 20 minutes a day.
