Donald Trump in Favor of Implementing U.S. Muslims Database

Donald Trump would require Muslims in the United States to register on a database.
The Republican candidate told NBC News that he would “certainly implement” a database. He added that Muslims would be legally bound to register. The database would be a tactic to “stop people from coming in illegally,” said the GOP candidate.
Later, Mr. Trump tweeted he “didn’t suggest a database-a reporter did.”

However, his party opponents had already manifested against his proposal, by saying the idea was “revolting” and “abhorrent”.
Candidate Jeb Bush said: “I find it abhorrent that Donald Trump is suggesting that we register people; that haunts back to a time that no one wants to go back to.”

Donald Trump’s closest rival Ben Carson said: “If we’re just going to pick out a particular group of people based on their religion, based on their race, based on some other thing, that’s setting a pretty dangerous precedent.”
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton also manifested against Trump’s statement, and qualified it as “shocking rhetoric”.

Trump stated he has seen a support increase after the Paris terrorist attacks last week. “People look at me as a strong leader,” he said. “The polls have been very much up since [the attacks in Paris].”

According to the newest NBC News poll, Donald Trump takes the lead in the GOP race, with 28% support, followed by Ben Carson and Ted Cruz, tied at 18%.
