Apple has certainly changed the way people use their computers and mobile devices since it launched the iPhone in 2007. The iPhone generation has greatly evolved over the past few years. Today, the iPhone is definitely one of the hippest gadgets a person could own. On Tuesday, the Cupertino-based company announced a new generation of iPhones. Additional updates were also given and once again Apple managed to keep gadget lovers and smartphone enthusiasts begging for more.

The new iPhone 5s

With options such as black, chrome and white, the color choices for the iPhone was always subtle and straightforward. Even the latest iPhone 5 maintains the look and reiterate that these basic colors are sufficient and exude a sophisticated look. In this tradition, Apple is launching the new iPhone 5s, and the latest flagship, iPhone 5 is now being put into the sidelines. Apple describes this latest model of the iPhone the most forward thinking smartphone in the entire world. The new iPhone 5s looks the same as its predecessor but with a few minor changes in terms of hardware and software upgrades.

Specifications of the 5s

The new and hip iPhone 5s is made to push the envelope and deliver beyond expectations. Powered with the newly developed A7 chip, this smartphone is the most advanced iPhone Apple has produced yet. It is also the first of its kind to incorporate a 64-bit technology, allowing faster launching of apps, high-definition games and editing photos and videos. The 5s also has an 8 megapixel iSight camera that captures amazing photos and very vivid videos.

What sets this iPhone apart from its previous versions is the Touch ID fingerprint sensor that takes iPhone security to the next level. It also has the latest iOS update, iOS 7. Gold, silver and space grey are the colors available for this model. According to Philip Schiller, Senior Vice President of Apple’s Worldwide Marketing, the new iPhone 5s “delivers desktop architecture in the palm of your hand.”

Apple’s iPhone 5c

On Tuesday, Apple also introduced the iPhone 5c which comes in different colors such as blue, green, pink, yellow and white. Philip Schiller explained that the Iphone 5c is everything the iPhone 5 has, but with more added features. It has the same 4-inch retina display and is also powered by an A6 chip. Taking pictures and videos could never be more fun with its iSight 8 megapixel camera. The 5c also has the largest collection of LTE bands than any other smartphone in the world. This new iPhone also runs the latest iOS 7, providing a better, more fulfilling mobile phone experience than its previous versions.

iOS 7 free update

The latest update in the iOS line was announced by Apple in the September 10 event as well. Starting September 18, iOS 7 can be downloaded for free in different iOS devices like the iPhone, iPad and iPod. What separates this iOS update from the previous versions is the complete revamp of the design with hundreds of additional features. The new iOS 7 also includes the iTunes radio, an Internet radio service that directly connects to your music preferences in iTunes.
